Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition; report findings accurately
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and maintain detailed medication administration records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
- Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care techniques and engaging activities
Qualifications
- CNA or HHA certification required
- CMT certification required
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and recognizing emergency situations; CPR and First Aid certifications are required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is a strong plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts effectively
- Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, HIPAA compliance, and documentation procedures
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills; patience and adaptability are essential
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for travel between client homes.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
