Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Part-time <PERSON> Officer to join our security team. (HOURS ARE FRIDAY FROM 5 PM TO 1 AM AND SATURDAY AND SUNDAY FROM 2 PM TO 10 PM.In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, managing access points, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help prevent loss, ensure safety, and uphold the integrity of our facilities. Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises
- Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring proper authorization at entry points
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Perform conflict management by de-escalating tense situations with professionalism and tact
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities and any security breaches
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
Skills
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and monitoring
- First aid certification and CPR training to respond effectively during emergencies
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Familiarity with security protocols, loss prevention strategies, and emergency response procedures
- Ability to work independently with keen observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and visitors
