Sag Harbor Cinema is seeking polished, welcoming, service-driven Cinema Attendants for our full year front-of-house team.
Attendants support the box office, concessions, theatres, and public spaces — making sure every guest interaction feels warm, attentive, and professional. We are a nonprofit cultural institution dedicated to film, education, and community, and front-of-house staff shape that experience daily. Hospitality instincts, trainability, and personal responsibility matter most; an interest in film is a welcome bonus. Reports to the Cinema Manager.
GUEST EXPERIENCE
- Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service
- Answer questions on films, showtimes, events, and memberships
- Promote memberships, upcoming programming, and special events
- Respond to guest needs with good judgment and a solutions-oriented attitude
BOX OFFICE & CONCESSIONS
- Sell tickets, concessions, gift cards, and merchandise on the POS
- Process cash and card transactions accurately per established procedures
- Prepare, operate, clean, and maintain concessions equipment safely
- Restock supplies and merchandise; flag low inventory to management
THEATRE & FRONT-OF-HOUSE OPERATIONS
- Reset, clean, and ready theatres between screenings
- Keep the lobby, box office, and concessions area clean and inviting
- Manage front-of-house flow before, during, and after screenings
- Support special events, rentals, and public programs

- Comfortable with computer-based POS systems and accurate transactions
- Dependable, punctual, and a reliable teammate
- Attention to detail and consistent follow-through
- Interest in film, arts, and community programming a plus — not required
REQUIREMENTS
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak season
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; current students considered
- Prior hospitality, retail, food service, or guest-facing experience a plus
TEAM SUPPORT
- Follow daily checklists, side work, and operating procedures
- Communicate guest concerns, maintenance issues, and supply needs
- Some shifts include opening or closing responsibilities

Schedule: Part-time, based on operational needs
