Master Builders & Erectors Corp is a rapidly growing structural steel fabrication and erecting company located in Folcroft, PA. We are looking to expand our team by hiring a qualified structural steel detailer/draftsman to help keep up with increasing workload. Job Description:
As a structural steel detailer/draftsman, you will be responsible for creating shop drawings for our in-house fabrication shop utilizing mostly 3d software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3d modeling, print reading and drafting standards, building construction standards and practices, and fundamentals of mechanics.
Skills:
3D modeling, 2D drafting, detail oriented, organization, problem solving, communication, construction, accuracy, and technical skills are a must.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in mechanical/civil engineering, construction management or related field preferred.
1+ year experience with 2D drafting software such as AutoCAD or 3D modeling software required.
Experience with Tekla Structures preferred.
Responsibilities:
Receive basic drawings from the project manager and create detailed drawings to be submitted to engineers for approval to be made in the company fabrication shop.
Create 3d models in Tekla Structures to be exported as detailed fabrication drawings and bill of materials.
Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate arrangement of steel for fabrication and erection.
Arrive on-site when necessary to coordinate with superintendent and perform any field measuring needed to allow for accurate steel fabrication.
Work independently to ensure timely and accurate drawings will be released to fabrication shop.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
