We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Development Assistant to help drive our mission forward! In this role, you will play a vital role in our staff development operations. This position will handle scheduling, coordinating materials, attendance tracking, and supporting Growth Academy - our internal leadership program. You'll work closely with various departments, assisting with event logistics and data management.

What will my day-to-day responsibilities look like?
The Staff Development Assistant will perform administrative tasks to support efficient operations in Staff Development of The Arc of the Ozarks. General supervision is received from the Assistant Director of Staff Development; however, the employee is expected to exercise independent judgment and initiative within the limit of established guidelines and procedures. This position will work collaboratively with various areas within the organization on assigned projects and tasks. This position is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Excellent Communication Skills – Capable of effectively communicating with team members.
Time Management – Skilled in managing time effectively, planning ahead, and meeting deadlines.
Tech-Savvy – Proficient in utilizing computer software to maintain computerized record-keeping systems.
Independent Work & Judgment – Capable of exercising judgment and discretion while working with minimal supervision.
Educational Requirements – Minimum of a diploma from an accredited high school or equivalent is required.
Experience Requirements - minimum of six months clerical, human services, other relevant experience is required.
Familiarity– Knowledge of The Arc of the Ozarks, its clientele, programs and workforce is highly desired.

Answers frequently asked questions regarding training requirements and timelines, Staff Development opportunities, etc. Refers more complex questions to appropriate person. Returns all employee communications in a timely manner.
Ensures the necessary materials are available for training and staff development sessions. May include preparing sign-in sheets, hand-outs, tests and other materials.
Provides clerical support in the form of updating Gallup Access database, data entry, creation and tracking of training materials.
Maintains accuracy and inventory of all Staff Development electronic and hard copy files, tools, and resources.
Assists with Growth Academy and teambuilding room setup, food orders, or other items as assigned by Assistant Director of Staff Development.
Maintains knowledge of current vendor resources and meeting/event sites for training, staff development and Growth Academy use.
Tracks staff development led training including attendance, materials used, activities, follow-up resources, etc.
Tracks and maintains Growth Academy alumni retention data and ensures accuracy through communication with alumni and human resources.
Maintains Growth Academy alumni communication including, but not limited to, quarterly newsletters, events, volunteer opportunities, etc.
May assist with updating Bridge or other systems with training completion and notifying management of staff attendance with training.
May conduct in-person training classes on an infrequent basis for new or current employees including but not limited to Therap, Abuse & Neglect, new hire orientation, Mandt crisis intervention system, CPR/First Aid, etc.
Provides coverage for receptionist positions as needed.
Maintains the confidentiality and accuracy of employee records and information.
Performs other related duties as requested by supervisor.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in business dealings and records management.
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Time management skills to plan for and meet various deadlines
Ability to work varied and flexible hours, and to accept and adapt to changes in assignments.
Knowledge and skills in utilizing and Microsoft office suite, Learning Management Systems.
Prompt arrival and regular attendance at work.
Professional appearance / appropriate for conducting of hands-on training classes.
Good organization skills and ability to handle multiple projects / timelines at one time.
Ability to establish and maintain a harmonious working relationship with the public, with
management and other personnel.
Ability to express ideas effectively, verbally and in written form.
Ability to exercise judgment, discretion and to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
Ability to lift, push, pull 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.
Licensed and insured driver.
Be a minimum of eighteen years of age, possession of a diploma from an accredited high school or equivalent is required. Knowledge of The Arc of the Ozarks, its clientele, programs and workforce is highly desired. An individual with a minimum of six months clerical, human services, other relevant experience is required.
