Clarity Care is a division of United Imaging Consultants (UIC), Kansas City’s leading radiology group practice. We're searching for a driven PRN IR RN to join our team! This position consists of having a working knowledge of minimally invasive procedures and providing care to patients undergoing procedures which includes assessment, medication administration, moderate sedation administration, patient safety/comfort and pre/post procedure education. It also consists of assessing patient health problems and needs, developing, and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records.

*This role will assist with coverage when our full-time team is out of office, or need additional coverage.*
Role Expectations:
- Demonstrate Clarity Care values by focusing on safety and patient satisfaction.
- Take the initiative to provide excellent service to patients, families, and other team members.
- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Educate individuals, families, and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, procedures, and treatments.
- Performs vital signs, height, weight, starts IVs and screening procedures and documents in medical record.
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
- Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
- Review test results to assess patient’s condition and notify treating physicians of relevant issues.
- Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments.
- Safely administer moderate sedation/medications ordered by clinicians.
- Submit prescriptions and refills to pharmacies per licensed clinician orders.
- Comply with all UIC policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) healthcare provider, obtained upon hire, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 90 days of employment.
- Computer Skills - related to PACS and EMR. Basic typing and word processing.
- Two years' experience in nursing such as Cath Lab, Surgery, and Interventional Radiology, or other procedures involving conscious sedation.
- Must assist with patient transfers and lifting other supplies.
- Active Registered Nurse License in Kansas.
