Empellón is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hospitality-driven Assistant General Manager to join our management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong restaurant leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while supporting daily operations.
The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of front-of-house operations, lead and develop the service team, and ensure the restaurant operates efficiently while maintaining our high standards of hospitality.
Responsibilities

Lead daily floor operations with a strong focus on guest experience and service standards.

Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and developing front-of-house staff.

Create and manage weekly staff schedules while maintaining labor goals.

Process payroll accurately and on time.

Monitor daily labor costs and staffing levels, making adjustments as business needs dictate.

Support administrative responsibilities including reporting, inventory, and operational follow-up.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards.

Help maintain restaurant cleanliness standards in compliance with DOH regulations.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

Serve as Manager on Duty during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications

3+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.

Proven experience with scheduling and payroll administration.

Strong understanding of labor management and cost control.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Beverage knowledge is a strong plus.
- Experience with POS, scheduling, and payroll systems.

Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
