About Us
TLC is a specialty practice focused on tongue, lip, and buccal tie releases, pre and post operative therapy, lactation support, and myofunctional therapy. Led by Dr. Mark Persaud, DDS, and Amelia Persaud, OTR/L, IBCLC, CFT, our team takes a collaborative, whole-patient approach to feeding, breathing, and oral function—starting from the earliest days of life.
The Role
We're seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist specializing in infant feeding to join our interdisciplinary team on a part-time basis, with potential to grow into a full-time position as our caseload expands. You'll evaluate and treat infants whose feeding, latch, sucking, and oral-motor challenges intersect with tethered oral tissues and airway concerns. Working closely with our dentist, IBCLC, and lactation team, you'll support babies and their families through pre- and post-frenectomy care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct infant feeding and oral-motor evaluations, including bottle and breastfeeding assessment
- Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans addressing latch, suck-swallow-breathe coordination, and oral-motor function
- Support infants through pre- and post-release (frenectomy) care in coordination with our clinical team
- Collaborate closely with our IBCLC and lactation providers on integrated feeding plans
- Coach and educate parents on positioning, feeding strategies, and home exercises
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Georgia OT license (or eligibility) and NBCOT certification
- Experience in infant/neonatal feeding therapy strongly preferred
- Familiarity with tethered oral tissues, infant oral-motor development, and airway-centered care (or willingness to train)
- Warm, coaching-oriented communication style with new parents
Preferred
- NICU, early intervention, or infant feeding experience
- Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy training or certification
- Experience working alongside IBCLCs and dental providers
- Comfort supporting breastfeeding and bottle-feeding families
