The Program Director provides strategic leadership for all residential and therapeutic program operations, aligning directly with the ministry's mission to support, protect, and restore trafficked teenage girls. This role ensures the effective delivery of trauma-informed care, intensive staff development, and positive resident outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a profound heart for children, proven experience navigating state child welfare funding, and the leadership capacity to manage residential programming, budget oversight, and external agency collaboration.
Duties & Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Daily Operations
- Execute a clear vision for program development consistent with the ministry's Strategic Plan.
- Oversee daily residential operations, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment for CSEC children.
- Maintain, update, and implement program manuals, protocols, and safety checklists.
- Ensure proper implementation of residents' individualized services and educational needs.
- Maintain systems for resident monitoring of electronic devices and security systems, responding rapidly to incidents.
Staff Management & Mentorship
- Lead, supervise, and mentor all residential and program staff.
- Oversee staff hiring, training, and weekly scheduling assignments.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and lead weekly staff meetings to foster collaboration across shifts.
- Ensure all staff and volunteers strictly complete the Department of Children and Families (DCF) required training and licensing certifications.
Compliance, Licensing & State Funding
- Ensure absolute adherence to state licensing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
- Manage and monitor the program budget effectively, ensuring proper utilization of state funding and resources.
- Provide detailed monthly program and compliance updates to Upper Management and the Board of Trustees.
Resident Care & Community Collaboration
- Embody the ministry's mission to rescue, redeem, and restore adolescent girls.
- Oversee the resident referral and intake process.
- Plan, track, and evaluate treatment intentions and individual behavioral/healing goals.
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with Community-Based Care Agencies, case managers, and external stakeholders.
Faith-Based Leadership
- Actively participate in a home church with regular attendance.
- Maintain a close personal relationship with Jesus Christ and bring an understanding of His role into personal and professional leadership.
Required Qualifications & Experience
To meet strict state licensing mandates, candidates must fit into one of the following two categories:
- Category 1: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related human services field from an accredited college/university AND at least two (2) years of experience in social services.
- Category 2: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university AND at least four (4) years of experience working directly with children.
Additional Requirements:
- Background Screening: Must successfully pass a mandatory Level 2 Background Check (including fingerprinting and federal/state criminal history clearances).
- Trauma Expertise: Direct experience working with children who have experienced severe trauma, exploitation, or human trafficking (CSEC).
- Leadership: Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a residential or child welfare setting.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
