Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Develop and refine beverage recipes to keep offerings fresh and innovative.
- Manage bar inventory, restocking supplies efficiently to meet customer demand.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours and special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies and monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment.
- Handle food handling procedures when serving food alongside beverages, ensuring proper food safety protocols are followed.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to serve multiple guests promptly during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or hospitality settings, with strong cocktail-making skills and knowledge of spirits, wine, craft beer, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in food service environments including restaurant or banquet settings; catering experience is a plus.
- Strong math skills for retail math, cash handling, and basic calculations related to sales and inventory management.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with mixology techniques, beverage presentation, and spirits knowledge is highly desirable.
- Valid hospitality industry certifications or relevant training preferred; prior bar management or hospitality industry experience is advantageous.
