Court Administration is seeking a driven, detail-oriented, and professional Court Services Specialist – Pretrial Services (Pretrial Services Officer) to join our team in beautiful Key West, Florida, a city where vibrant island life meets meaningful public service.

Summary:
This is a mid-level position with the Pretrial Services Program. The individual holding this position is primarily responsible for the assessment and supervision of pretrial defendants, managing the defendant check-in system, scheduling client urinalysis, greeting all visitors to the pretrial services office and directing them to the appropriate staff. This position also includes screening and interviewing defendants for his/her First Appearance hearing and attending First Appearance hearings to report assessment results and recommendations to the Court.
Work Schedule:
Temporary Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Schedule (Post-Training):
- Friday–Tuesday (Wednesday and Thursday off)
- Weekdays: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekends: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university OR one to two years of related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential
