Libraria is seeking a Collection Development Associate to join our Collection Development team. You'll work alongside our experienced Collection Development team to help create customized book collections for school and public libraries across the country. Library, education, bookstore, publishing, or other book-related experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train a motivated candidate with the right skills and enthusiasm for books.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing customized book collections for school and public library customers
- Research and select titles based on customer needs, age/grade levels, themes and subject areas, budgets, and collection goals
- Assist with analyzing existing library collections to identify gaps, outdated materials, and areas for improvement
- Learn and utilize Libraria's collection development tools and resources
- Gain a strong knowledge of children's, young adult, and adult literature, authors, publishers, and market trends
- Support Collection Development Specialists with customer projects and larger collection initiatives
- Communicate effectively with sales representatives and customers by email, phone, and virtual meetings
Requirements:
- A genuine love of books and reading
- Knowledge of children's, young adult, and/or adult literature is a plus
- Strong research skills and curiosity about books, authors, and publishing
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and online research tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Pay: $16.00 per hour
