Position Overview
The Lawn Mowing Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing a small mowing crew and ensuring all residential and commercial properties are serviced with precision, efficiency, and professionalism. This role is ideal for someone who has previously led a crew at another lawn care company and understands the pace, standards, and expectations of high‑quality lawn maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a small mowing crew on daily routes
- Ensure all work meets company standards for quality, detail, and safety
- Maintain a fast, efficient workflow with a strong sense of urgency
- Perform mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and basic property clean‑ups
- Train and guide crew members on proper techniques and equipment use
- Communicate clearly with management about progress, issues, or needs
- Ensure punctuality — arriving on time every day and keeping the crew on schedule
- Protect and maintain company equipment
- Represent the company professionally on every property
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Prior experience leading a lawn care or landscaping crew (residential or commercial)
- Strong attention to detail — noticing missed edges, uneven cuts, debris, and quality issues
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and leadership mindset
