We're looking for a Scientific Computing & Research Infrastructure Engineer to join an exciting project supporting a leading biology research team.
Location: SF Bay Area (Hybrid)
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract
Max Pay Rate: Up to $60-$75/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the scientific computing stack and biology research pipelines.
- Administer Linux-based GPU compute infrastructure, including CUDA optimization, containerized environments, and HPC systems.
- Manage large-scale NAS/SAN storage and ensure seamless data flow from scientific instruments to research servers.
- Partner directly with scientists as the dedicated technology expert, delivering hands-on infrastructure and research computing support.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong Linux systems engineering expertise.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
- Experience supporting structural biology or life sciences research computing environments.
- Hands-on experience with GPU infrastructure, CUDA, HPC, and scientific data management.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with research teams.
Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
