Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of asphalt paving operations to verify adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- MUST HAVE MILL AND OVERLAY EXPERIENCE.
- Collect and analyze data related to asphalt mix quality, compaction levels, temperature, and surface smoothness during construction.
- Monitor construction site activities to ensure proper application techniques and quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Document inspection findings meticulously through detailed reports, photographs, and records for project documentation and quality assurance purposes.
- Collaborate with construction crews, contractors, and project managers to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Review contracts and technical specifications related to asphalt work to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction inspection with a focus on asphalt paving, mill and overlay, or related fields such as concrete forming or masonry.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, specifications, and inspection protocols is preferred.
- Prior experience working on construction sites involving asphalt installation.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with teams and document findings clearly and accurately. Your expertise as an Asphalt Inspector will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality pavements that enhance transportation safety and efficiency.
Pay: $38.00 - $41.00 per hour
