Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Elevator Inspector for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity covering the Baltimore, MD to Northern Virginia service area.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Elevator Inspectors, Elevator Mechanics, and NEEIP-trained Elevator Technicians looking to join America's premier manufacturer of custom home elevators.
Elevator Inspector Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform elevator inspections throughout the Baltimore, MD and Northern Virginia service area
- Ensure all home elevators are installed in compliance with NEC, ASME, and local elevator codes
- Inspect both Traction Machine Room-Less and Hydraulic elevator installations
- Partner with factory-trained elevator mechanics and the service department to verify code-compliant installs
- Travel to job sites throughout the coverage area, including occasional overnight travel
- Work safely at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces such as attics
Elevator Inspector Requirements
- CET, MD Elevator Mechanic License, or successful completion of the NEEIP program required — candidates without this specific licensing will not be considered
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong electrical skills and ability to read schematics
- Willing to work long hours when needed, including occasional overnight travel
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform hard physical labor
- Able to work in confined spaces (attics)
- Skilled in the proper use of hand tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Schedule
- Full-Time | Up to 100% travel across the Baltimore, MD to Northern Virginia service area, including occasional overnight trips
- Candidates must reside within the Baltimore, MD to Northern Virginia area — candidates outside this geographic area will not be considered
