Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Outreach Manager to lead our community engagement initiatives. This role involves developing and implementing programmes that foster strong relationships with local communities, organisations, and stakeholders. The Community Outreach Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing our organisation’s visibility and impact through strategic outreach activities.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive community outreach strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Supervise and coordinate outreach programmes, ensuring effective implementation and community participation.
- Lead and motivate a team of outreach staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, and evaluation.
- Oversee marketing efforts across social media platforms to promote programmes and events.
- Organise fundraising activities to support community projects and organisational sustainability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, local authorities, educational institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Manage administrative tasks related to programme documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct public health education sessions or workshops as needed, leveraging teaching skills to inform diverse audiences.
- Monitor programme outcomes and prepare reports to inform organisational strategy and funding applications.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in community engagement or programme management roles.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of motivating teams towards shared objectives.
- Experience in marketing, social media management, and fundraising activities.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of public health principles or experience working within health-related programmes is desirable.
- Effective communication skills suitable for engaging diverse audiences across various platforms.
- Background in teaching or educational programme delivery is advantageous.
