Job Description: Service Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving company vehicles (small vans, cargo vans, and box trucks up to 26’) in a safe and law-abiding manner to/from customer and vendor sites
- Safely loading/securing equipment (beds) in vehicles via dock or ramp
- Delivery/set-up and removal of medical equipment at healthcare facilities
- Fielding customer inquiries and orders for products (including beds, mattress systems, and wound treatment devices/supplies)
- Documenting the movement of equipment/products and reporting related interactions with customers
- Maintaining and inspecting equipment to ensure safe and proper use
- Engaging in field and warehouse activities such as equipment decontamination and product cleaning
- Developing working knowledge of medical devices and competently instructing customers in their use
- Assisting in keeping accurate inventories of products
- Using manufacturers’ service manuals and documentation to provide troubleshooting and assistance with patient-specific issues
- Performing minor repairs on equipment, including component replacement
- Complying with all OSHA/regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
- Maintaining confidentiality of company and customer information (HIPAA)

Minimum Requirements/Skills/Traits:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to obtain a for-hire endorsement
- Can lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 500 lbs of equipment (on wheels)
- Capable of passing DOT physical examination and drug screen
- Able to pass a criminal background check (as mandated by customers’ policies)
- Availability to work 1st and/or 2nd shift, Monday through Friday
- Participation in on-call rotation (to ensure 24/7 service coverage by the company, including weekends and holidays)
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide superior customer service
- Capability to plan, organize, and prioritize daily work activities
- Can manage multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Keeping a professional, well-groomed appearance and not carrying the odor of tobacco/smoke into sensitive patient environments
- Maintaining sobriety during scheduled/assigned after-hours on-call duty
- Able to deal with difficult people and situations in a professional manner
- Demonstration of initiative and an ability to solve problems
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn and use technologically advanced equipment
Compensation/Benefits/Miscellaneous:
Location: 101 S. Parker Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46201
Job Type: Full-Time
Base Shift: Mon-Fri / 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm
On-Call: Every other week/weekend (additionally compensated)
