Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Assistant Director to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the overall management and operation of our child care facility. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director to ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to education, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management of the child care center, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and policies.
- Support the Director in developing and implementing educational programs that meet the needs of children.
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support in their roles.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, addressing their concerns and promoting open communication.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's development and progress, utilizing appropriate educational strategies.
- Collaborate with community organizations to enhance program offerings and resources.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children at all times.
Skills
- Higher education teaching experience is preferred to effectively educate both staff and students.
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Knowledge of education administration principles to assist in managing daily operations efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and integrity at all times.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
Requirements
- Mimimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role in a childcare setting.
- Degree in Early Childhood education or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of state licensing requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
