Job Description
YOU ARE:
- A stellar attorney with at least 4-6 full years’ experience in commercial litigation or corporate contracts and transactions.
- Licensed to practice law in California and New York.
- Conscientious, thorough and you take the accuracy of your work seriously.
- Proactive, driven and good under pressure. You’re even a little competitive.
- Eager to learn and improve on the job, so you are receptive to feedback.
- Polished, poised, practical, energetic and you have a strong work ethic.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WOULD:
- Report to the Head of the Litigation Department or the Head of the Corporate Department.
- Work from our San Francisco office.
- Delegate tasks and ensure deadlines are met. Work with and manage junior team members reporting to you.
- Have varied activities including multiple, simultaneous projects that offer learning opportunities.
- Use your expertise-based problem-solving skills to offer innovative solutions.
- Be required to have a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy. You believe that quality should never be compromised.
- Draft, review and revise contracts or agreements and deliver practical, plain English advice.
- Draft, review, and revise demand letters, case pleadings, and motion papers in commercial litigation matters.
- Assist with all substantive aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, and preparing for depositions.
- Support business transactions by preparing ancillary agreements and reviewing key deal terms to help close matters efficiently and cleanly.
- Lead by example: with your work ethic, your drive for success, and positive attitude.
- Be involved in client development, marketing and the growth of the firm.

- Total Compensation – $120,000 – $170,000 (based on experience and performance).
