Duties
- Assist with the installation of hardscape elements including concrete forms, masonry, pavers, and stonework using hand tools and power tools.
- Support landscape tasks such as planting, soil preparation, irrigation setup, and mulching to ensure healthy growth and vibrant outdoor spaces.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for excavation, grading, and site preparation under supervision.
- Lawn mowing, trimming, and edging
- Property clean-ups (spring, fall, and general maintenance)
- Mulching, planting, and basic landscaping tasks
- specifications for features like retaining walls or custom stonework.
- Perform site inspections to ensure quality standards are met during construction phases; identify issues early and communicate solutions effectively.
- Prepare surfaces through plastering, caulking, or concrete finishing techniques; assist in masonry and tile laying projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by properly handling tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in landscaping environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is highly valued.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hammers, saws, and power tools used in construction or landscaping projects.
- Basic understanding of construction management principles including safety procedures and site organization.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation or specialized skills like welding, framing carpentry, or roofing will be considered advantageous.
