Job Summary
The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and light commercial plumbing systems. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to complete work safely and efficiently while providing an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Install, repair, and replace residential and light commercial plumbing systems and fixtures.

Diagnose plumbing issues and determine the most effective repair solutions.

Install and repair water heaters, water lines, drain lines, sewer lines, gas lines, and plumbing fixtures.

Perform plumbing remodels and new construction installations as assigned.

Test plumbing systems to ensure proper operation and code compliance.

Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing diagrams.

Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs, installations, and recommendations.

Complete service documentation accurately and thoroughly.

Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.

Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications

Current Journeyman Plumbing License required.

Previous residential and light commercial plumbing experience required.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday.

Ability to work in crawl spaces, attics, trenches, and confined spaces.

Ability to safely operate plumbing tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights when necessary.

Visual ability to inspect plumbing systems and identify issues.

Ability to work extended hours or occasional weekends as business demands require.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with tankless water heaters.

Experience with residential service plumbing and remodels.

Gas line installation experience.

Backflow certification or additional plumbing certifications.
