Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports behavior management, social skills, and emotional well-being for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Conduct assessments of childhood development milestones and tailor lesson plans to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently through effective classroom management techniques, ensuring safety, engagement, and positive behavior among students.
- Collaborate with families, specialists, and other educators to support child welfare and coordinate early intervention or special education services when necessary.
- Prepare documentation for standardized testing results, progress reports, and lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Facilitate activities that promote literacy education, motor skills development, and social interaction while fostering a love of learning in young children.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience in curriculum development tailored to preschool-age children with diverse needs.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to maintain an organized and positive learning environment.
- Ability to work effectively with children across different age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and early intervention programs to support children with unique needs.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods and experience with daycare or private school settings is advantageous.
- Skills in lesson planning for various subjects such as literacy education, math (including standardized testing preparation), physical education, and child welfare topics.
