About the Position
Machine Operator I is an entry-level member of the production team and will operate a variety of complex machines, complete processing tasks to support the production floor. This position will also produce or build product to support customer demand, operate tools & equipment, inspect in-process components, and complete documentation as required. All Machine Operators shall always perform their activities with Safety, Quality, and Integrity.
Work Location/Schedule
- This position requires the employee to be onsite at our VitalPath Cokato, MN location.
- Shift/Schedule: Second Shift – Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:30am (4x10 hour days)
- VitalPath does not offer relocation assistance for this position.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for setting up, tearing down, and maintenance of laser machines
- Ability to reference parts to blueprints and drawings
- Operate the laser machine
- Verify recipe programs
- Loading and unloading materials on machines
- Performance in-process inspection for component runs
- Perform basic troubleshooting
- Ability to understand travelers and verify materials
- Ability to use microscope, ruler, pin gage
- Group maintenance on all machines end of every month as required
- Work to improve efficiencies in the department
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- Must be able to work with machine and tooling
- Basic knowledge of blueprint/specifications
- Basic math skills
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English preferred
- Lifting and moving up to 50 lbs, must be able to work with a microscope for long periods and sit for an extended period of time
- Stand for long periods of time
- Have the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
Preferred Qualifications
- Have good people skills and must work well with others
- Technical knowledge of maintenance on braider, coiler and other manufacturing support equipment preferred
- Attention to details and instructions
- Basic computer skills
Compensation Package
- The hourly range for this position is $21.58 - $26.39 + shift differential. The posted hourly range complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as market conditions, level of experience and training, education, certifications, as well as internal and external equity.
- This position is eligible to earn a quarterly performance bonus based on meeting VitalPath’s bonus performance plan.
