Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled SMT Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating surface mount technology (SMT) equipment and ensuring the quality of electronic assemblies. This role requires a strong understanding of PCB assembly processes, electrical wiring, and the ability to work with various hand tools and machinery. As an SMT Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality electronic components.
Duties
- Operate and maintain SMT equipment to ensure efficient production of printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Set up and adjust programmable logic controllers for optimal performance during manufacturing processes.
- Follow IPC 610 standards to ensure compliance with quality specifications in assembly processes.
- Perform soldering tasks on surface mount components, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Read and interpret drawing to understand assembly requirements and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Utilize calipers and ohmmeters for quality control checks during the production process.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining a safe work environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in surface mount technology (SMT) processes and equipment operation.
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly techniques and electrical experience.
- Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies.
- Ability to read drawings and part lists
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
