Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical systems and ensure proper functioning of HVAC equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to maximize efficiency and lifespan while minimizing downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems related to plumbing, electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical components with precision.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized diagnostic equipment to perform repairs efficiently and safely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions to clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a strong background in system repair, installation, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems along with familiarity with building automation systems.
- Ability to read schematics, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and equipment repair techniques for mechanical systems repair.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC system issues efficiently.
