Legacy Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated, organized, and passionate Lead Teacher to provide high-quality instruction and classroom leadership. The Lead Teacher will create a positive learning environment, develop engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and support the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students. The ideal candidate is committed to educational excellence and serving as a positive role model for students.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with curriculum requirements.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective and age-appropriate strategies.
- Assess student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and fellow teachers to enhance student learning.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers as assigned.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Integrate Christian values and character development into daily instruction.
- Maintain compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field preferred.
- Teaching experience in a classroom setting preferred.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Christian educational environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
