Responsibilities
- Operate trucks in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Perform routine inspections on vehicles before and after trips.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status.
- Handle flatbed, tanker, or other specialized loads as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roads is advantageous.
- Skills in operating forklifts for loading and unloading cargo are a plus.
- Previous experience handling flatbed or tanker trucks is desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to truck driving.
