We are hiring one (1) great candidate for a temporary project in our Medical Records department for a busy private Ophthalmology Practice. Training in Waterbury for a short time period is required as well as training in Orange. Hours may vary during training. After training, position will be in our Orange clinic.
Responsibilities:
Scanning and organizing paper and digital medical records including sending documents to doctors, PAQ
Maintaining inventory of medical records supplies
Transporting charts from Medical Records to other departments
Filing charts and scanning documents
Picks up and delivers correspondence from various pick up locations (physician's desk, front desk, surgery etc)
Handles medical release requests
Maintains and files red out guides
Processes all appropriate medical records information through EMR
Other projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Nextech EMR
Experience processing medical records
Experience working with PHI

HIPAA course completion and examination (passing grade required)

The Eye Care Group has 4 locations in Connecticut - Waterbury, Southbury, Orange, and Branford. Our practice is seeking one (1) full-time temporary help scanning and organizing paper and electronic medical records. The position length is on a temporarily basis until further notice, but could be extended based on the needs of the practice.
Our ideal candidate would be able to work well in a team atmosphere. We are looking for tech-savvy candidates who are quickly trained on new software programs and applications and comfortable with standard office equipment such as scanners and copiers. Someone who is hard working, a team player who is interested in working in an environment with a supportive staff and management team, rave patient reviews, robust staff appreciation activities and recognition and a group of amazing doctors. All applicants must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to more than one location. Training in Waterbury for a short time period is required as well as training in Orange. Hours may vary during training.
$18 per hour, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:00am-3:00pm
