Established and growing New York City company is seeking to add experienced BMS Controls Lead Programmer to our team. The applicant will have 5-10 years solid experience in the field.*
The Qualified applicant will have:
- Experience and knowledge of Distech/Honeywell/Schneider and programming BMS controls systems
- Ability to read and analyze drawings and schematics for BMS and controls
- Niagara experience is a must, certification is a plus
- Experience with programming, graphics, startup, troubleshooting and commissioning
- Excellent leadership and customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, as some projects require working overnight shifts
- Ability to work in various environments including outdoors in varying degrees of weather working at heights, and in small confined spaces
- A valid driver’s license
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Own complete set of standard low voltage electrician tools
Willingness to travel to different project sites within the Tristate
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Troubleshoot, trace out, list & define problems with the BAS/BMS
- Monitoring of the BAS/BMS via in-house computers
- Respond to normal and emergency BAS/BMS calls
- Repair and replacement of associated components
- Monitoring, responding to and remediation of DDC/BMS System alarms
- Interaction with DDC/BMS outside vendors
- Make routine examination of the need for repairs and maintenance
- Prepares and maintains records on work performed and materials used
- Respond to other building emergencies
- Installation and upgrades of BMS controllers
- Programming and front end graphics
