Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers to ensure proper stocking and inventory accuracy.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision using RF scanners, inventory management software, and ERP systems such as AS400.
- Maintain accurate data entry of inventory movements and order details within warehouse management systems and other software like Microsoft Office.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations and shipping & receiving procedures to facilitate international trade and trade compliance standards.
- Support shipping logistics by coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping labels, and verifying order accuracy for timely delivery.
- Assist in inventory management tasks including stock counting, cycle counts, and updating records to uphold optimal warehouse distribution.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (including reach trucks), pallet jacks, and other machinery safely following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on warehouse operations including stocking, order fulfillment, packaging, and load & unload activities to maximize efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by accurately processing orders and responding to internal or external inquiries related to shipments or inventory.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms.
- Ability to operate forklifts (including reach trucks), pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, stock management, and order picking accuracy.
- Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring packages, and verifying shipment quantities.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with international trade regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a customer service mindset to support team collaboration and client satisfaction.
