American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Stepdown (PIMC) night shift position in Oregon, requiring active OR licensure, vent experience, and Epic proficiency.

Work in a Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMC) providing intermediate-level care for medical/surgical patients ages 0–18, excluding obstetric patients

Patient populations include non-ICU neurosurgical, Video EEG and spectrum scan, peritoneal dialysis, chronic trach/ventilated, select hyperbilirubinemia, select cardiac surgery, research, and complex post-op patients (orthopedic spine, craniotomies, bladder augmentations)

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Epic EMR — experience required

Floating to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation

Active Oregon (OR) RN license required

Current BLS and PALS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required

Ventilator (vent) experience required

Charge RN experience required, with willingness to charge on select shifts

Epic EMR experience required

Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required — charge RN references are not acceptable

COVID vaccination proof required; no exemptions

Experience with external ventricular drain (EVD) or peritoneal dialysis (PD) is preferred
-
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction applies

Candidates who are former employees of or previous travelers at this health system must have a reference completed by the OHSU manager who supervised them

Candidates must be away from OHSU for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler

Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of profile and may not exceed 2 weeks
