Unit staffing description: RNs and Unit secretary/COVID runner. Total care is provided by RNs.
Type of equipment: Ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, Balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers. Use of iMobile phones and technology by all staff in the hospital. PPE- includes mask, face shields, goggles, PAPR's and hoods for our COVID-19 patients.
Documentation system: Meditech using EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation)
Scheduling requirements: All nursing shift are twelve hours from 7 to 7; every other weekend. Holiday requirements
Floating policy: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units.
Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, completion of "My Care Board during hand-off report; use of AIDET with a focus on compassionate connected care.
