Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Project Manager specializing in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) to oversee complex enterprise software implementations on a contractual basis. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of managing cross-functional teams, coordinating multiple projects, and ensuring successful delivery of Oracle EPM solutions aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in project management methodologies, cloud computing, and enterprise software deployment, with a strong focus on Oracle EPM systems integration, data management, and process optimization.
Key responsibilities include leading project planning and execution, facilitating stakeholder communication, managing risks and issues, and ensuring adherence to best practices such as Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe frameworks. Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for Oracle EPM implementations, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget oversight using tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Jira, VersionOne, TFS, and SharePoint.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams comprising developers, business analysts, infrastructure specialists, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of Oracle EPM modules within existing enterprise systems.
- Develop detailed project plans incorporating SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), PMBOK standards, and Agile practices such as Kanban and Scrum to facilitate timely delivery.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business units to translate needs into technical specifications; prepare comprehensive test cases for user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Oversee the configuration, customization, and deployment of Oracle EPM solutions while ensuring compliance with IT governance policies and disaster recovery protocols.
- Manage project risks through proactive identification and mitigation strategies; monitor progress via dashboards and reports to ensure milestones are met.
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders at all levels; negotiate scope changes and manage expectations to maintain project alignment.
- Support release management activities including planning, scheduling, and coordinating deployment activities across cloud computing environments such as AWS.
- Ensure quality assurance by reviewing test results, validating data integrity in databases like SQL and Oracle; oversee issue resolution during testing phases.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating project outcomes; implement lessons learned into future initiatives for enhanced efficiency.
Skills
- Extensive experience in IT project management within enterprise software environments focusing on Oracle EPM or similar financial planning solutions.
- Proven supervisory experience managing technical project teams across multiple projects or programs.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile (SAFe), Waterfall, PMBOK standards; proficient with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, VersionOne, TFS.
- Deep understanding of SDLC processes; adept at requirements gathering, analysis skills, risk management, and user acceptance testing.
- Technical proficiency in SQL databases (SQL Server), Oracle databases; familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS.
- Experience with enterprise solutions implementation involving IT infrastructure integration; disaster recovery planning.
- Ability to lead complex projects involving software development life cycle activities like test-driven development (TDD) and release management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively; strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks; experience with SharePoint for documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with software development tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Demonstrated leadership in technical project & program supervision; ability to foster collaboration within diverse teams.
