Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children, particularly in childcare center settings. The lead teacher will be responsible for implementing the curriculum and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of educational materials and resources to enhance literacy education and overall learning experiences.
- Prepare lesson plans weekly that align with the curriculum
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management.
- Work closely with students to provide individualized support, especially for those with special education needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher regarding each child's development.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
- Participate in curriculum development initiatives, contributing ideas for innovative teaching strategies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in preschool or private school settings is preferred.
- Must have a CDA or higher.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development are highly valued.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to effectively support diverse learners.
- A background in literacy education is beneficial for enhancing student reading skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
