Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to guide our 3-year-old classroom. In this role, you will create a dynamic, supportive learning environment that promotes early childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional growth. Your leadership will inspire young children to explore, learn, and develop essential skills through innovative lesson planning and classroom management. This position is Tuesdays-Friday 8:30-12:30 with possible hours until 2:00.
Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to 3-year-olds, incorporating songs, finger plays, crafts and more
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills
- Manage daily classroom activities, including circle time, play-based learning, and structured lessons
- Utilize behavior management techniques to support children’s emotional regulation and social interactions
- Assess individual child progress through observations and standardized testing when applicable (twice a year).
- Collaborate with families to communicate developmental milestones and address individual needs. Conduct at leaset one parent/teacher conference a year
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirments and mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards
Experience
- A Degree in Early Childhood or related field or 3-5 years experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and lesson planning for early childhood education
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies for diverse learners
- Experience managing classroom behavior and implementing child development instruction techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Previous roles involving preschool teaching or daycare supervision preferred; private school experience is a plus
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
