LOAD AND UNLOAD CURE POLES Take full length gasket from the staging rack Places rubber gasket on the cure pole using air compressor to lessen friction Places in vertical turntable rack (will be placed in vulcanizer) After curing in vulcanizer, removes band or wrap and removes the vertical pole from rack Removes the cured rubber gasket length with air compressor Places individual rubber gasket on staging rack horizontally Loads and unload 5-10 racks per shift Grasps each gasket weighing less than 1 # to 3# from horizontal rack Slips gasket onto vertical curing pole gripping air compressor in right or left hand. May rubber band end of the gasket Or wrap gasket with cloth around the pole before curing. Horizontal reach to load and unload (6-12”) Some bending to place pole in vertical position. Weight of pole with gasket less than 10# Standing on urethane floor or with rubber cushioned mats. MOVE CURE POLE RACK IN AND OUT OF VULCANIZER Using electric hoist, move rack of rubber gaskets on cure poles in and out of vulcanizer Set timer Finger hoist controls Walk up to 25 feet from loading area to vulcanizer Visual acuity of 20/40 to read hoist controls MATERIAL HANDLING Pushes loaded wheeled and well maintained cart to and from staging area on smooth concrete surfaces May take rack to talc area 20 feet away 40 pounds force to initiate push and to stop cart Guide rack to staging area up to 100 feet away Cart wheels are well maintained and run on smooth concrete Cart holds several hundred pound load MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR Uses sit down tow motor to handle material in hoppers May change propane fuel for vehicle Brings hoppers of material to workstation Climb into sit down vehicle up 24” step Grasp steering wheel Visual acuity of 20/40 each eye Adequate hearing May lift and manipulate propane tank (approx 25#) CLEAN UP Cleans out tooling to remove excess rubber Wipes down surfaces in work area Sweeps up scattered material Removes excess rubber from tooling with drill or handheld push rod Grasp broom for sweeping Horizontal reaching to wipe of surfaces IF THE EMPLOYEE IS UNABLE TO PERFORM ANY ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE JOB, THE EMPLOYER IS WILLING TO CONSIDER ANY RESTRICTIONS, AND WILL PLACE THE INJURED WORKER INTO A SEDENTARY OR LIGHT JOB ASSIGNMENT TO ACCOMMODATE RESTRICTIONS. THE COMPANY DOES HAVE A TRANSITIONAL WORK PROGRAM AVAILABLE THAT WILL HELP TRANSITION THE INJURED WORKER BACK TO FULL DUTY. FOR WORK RELATED INJURY TREATMENT THE COMPANY DOES HAVE AN ON-SITE PHYSICAL OR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST AVAILABLE THAT WILL HELP TRANSITION THE INJURED WORKER BACK TO FULL DUTY. PLEASE FILL OUT THE BWC FORM C-9 REQUESTING TRANSITIONAL WORK PROGRAM/ON-SITE THERAPY WITH THE FREQUENCY AND DURATION AND FORWARD TO THE APPROPRIATE MCO.
