Job Description:
Eco-Staff, LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Apprentice Electricians to join our client's team for a travel position in Turkey, TX. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct testing using instruments such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues.
- Work on construction sites involving framing carpentry, renovation projects, or new installations with adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper insulation and grounding procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to prevent outages or failures.
- Follow all local electrical codes (including NEC) and safety regulations diligently.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.
Requirements:
- Valid and current TDLR electrician license.
- Proven experience as an electrician with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and wire wiring schematics.
- Knowledge of terminating electrical panels, running and bending conduit, installing trim-outs and basic wiring.
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and tools.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
