Goodwill Tulsa is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors, composed of local community leaders, who ensure we are meeting the needs of the citizens of this area. Goodwill Industries of Tulsa is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our territory includes 25 counties in Eastern Oklahoma and 2 counties in Southwest Missouri. We currently operate 13 retail stores and 30 donation centers.
About the Role:
The Janitor I plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the facility. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure all areas meet established hygiene and safety standards. The role requires attention to detail and consistency to uphold the facility’s appearance and functionality. The Janitor I will contribute to the overall well-being of employees, visitors, and clients by ensuring that all spaces are sanitary and orderly. This position supports the operational efficiency of the organization by preventing hazards and promoting a positive atmosphere through cleanliness.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies and their safe usage.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work.

Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers.

Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in assigned areas.

Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to maintain health and safety standards.

Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms and other designated locations.

Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.

Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
