Certified Pharmacy Technician (Full-Time)
We are seeking to hire 2–3 full-time Certified Pharmacy Technicians to join our growing team. The ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. Accuracy, reliability, and professionalism are essential to providing outstanding patient care.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday – Friday
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends
Responsibilities
- Prepare the pharmacy for daily operations by sterilizing surfaces and equipment.
- Greet customers and provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Receive prescriptions and verify their accuracy and validity.
- Process prescriptions electronically, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
- Process insurance claims and manufacturer assistance programs.
- Resolve prescription processing issues, including rejected insurance claims.
- Accurately select, count, measure, label, and package medications.
- Maintain medication inventory by stocking, organizing, and monitoring supplies.
- Complete administrative tasks, including recordkeeping and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, security measures, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Active registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Maryland.
- Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years of pharmacy technician experience.
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program.
- Experience using electronic pharmacy management and prescription processing systems.
- Working knowledge of medications, dosage calculations, pharmacy law, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- Experience with JOBST® compression garments and/or Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is a strong plus.
