The field service technician is responsible for performing daily service and maintenance, Installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Provides liaison between customer and managers. Creates an approach to facilitate the assigned job of the property.
Responsibilities: ● General maintenance skills to include but not limited to basic repair, general construction, and general knowledge of gates, camera systems and access control ● We install and repair vehicle gates, gate operators, access control devices, RFID key fob systems, IP camera systems. ● Technicians should be comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties ● Networking or computer skills are a plus ● Working knowledge of assigned tasks and preventive maintenance ● Working knowledge of electrical, low voltage and mechanical workings, perform assigned tasks and preventive maintenance ● Working knowledge of using paints, oils, cleaners, de-greasers and chemicals ● Demolition and saw cutting ● Building forms, mixing, pouring and finishing concrete ● Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments ● Driving company vehicles to locations ● Maintaining company driven vehicle and keeping controlled inventory levels ● Cutting, grinding and fabrication of parts ● Working in attic or crawl space ● Using and climbing ladders ● Digging/trenching, installing conduit and pulling wire ● Perform all other duties as assigned or needed by the manager or customer
Qualifications: ● High school diploma and/or equivalent to diploma ● low voltage
experience necessary ● Take direction from multiple people to include manager and owners ● Must pay attention to detail and be able to work unsupervised ● Excellent organization skills ● Sound business judgment and initiative, in determining the appropriate approach to take in non-routine matters ● Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills; must be able to confidently deal with a wide diversity of people ● Commitment to great customer service, continuous improvement, honesty and integrity ● Ability to develop and sustain positive and cooperative working relationships with a broad variety of managers, board of directors, co-workers, vendors, owners and renters within the field ● Mechanical experience recommended
Physical Requirements: ● Must be able to stand on feet, sit, bend, and twist for multiple hours at a time ● Must be able to lift and move at least 75 pounds and more at necessary times ● Must be able to work in outdoor conditions, year-round
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
