Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our vibrant team. In this position, you will support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for children of various ages. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable early childhood education experience while making a positive impact on children's growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support classroom management and behavior guidance strategies to create a nurturing environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily experiences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and equipment
- Support the team in covering different classrooms as needed to ensure continuous coverage
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to follow mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Child supervision skills with a focus on safety, behavior management, and engagement

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
