Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and highly skilled Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses (NICU RNs) to provide exceptional care for our most vulnerable patients—newborns requiring specialized medical attention. As a NICU RN, you will be responsible for delivering advanced nursing care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of neonatal patients and their families.
Duties
- Monitor and assess neonatal patients’ vital signs, neurological status, and overall health to promptly identify changes requiring intervention.
- Administer medications and treatments such as IV infusions, ventilator management, and medication administration with precision and adherence to protocols.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment including neonatal ventilators, infusion pumps, and EHR systems to document patient care accurately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers—to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Perform neonatal resuscitation procedures following established protocols to stabilize critically ill infants.
- Educate families on neonatal care practices, discharge instructions, and ongoing health management to foster family-centered care.
- Maintain strict infection control practices using aseptic techniques to prevent hospital-acquired infections among fragile neonates.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and NCQA standards while maintaining detailed medical documentation.
Skills
- Extensive critical care experience in NICU settings with proficiency in neonatal physiology and development.
- Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation.
- Skilled in advanced procedures including intubation, IV insertion, suturing, and catheterization specific to neonatal patients.
- Familiarity with neonatal diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory testing, imaging (CT scans), and ICD coding for accurate record-keeping.
- Experience working with infants requiring complex interventions like dialysis, oxygen therapy, or tube feeding.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond swiftly during emergency situations such as acute pain episodes or trauma incidents.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols pertinent to neonatal intensive care environments.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and family education.

Pay: $72.00 per hour
