Position Summary
The Logistics Assistant will provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth execution of our daily import/export activities and material procurement processes. Assist in maintaining compliance with international trade regulations, coordinating logistics shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation. You will also play a key role in supporting our demand planning function by accurately creating purchase requisitions (PRs) and monitoring material replenishment needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage Support the day-to-day operation of the Import/Export, including the receipt, handling, storage, and shipment of goods.
- Ensure Assist in monitoring compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, tariffs, and international trade agreements.
- Develop and implement Assist in implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Conduct research and analysis on international trade trends and regulations to inform decision-making.
- Provide guidance and support to Serve as a point of contact for internal teams on foreign trade-related matters.
- Resolve Escalate issues related to compliance, logistics, and customs in a timely and effective manner.
- Monitor and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting on foreign trade activities to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisted demand planning by creating purchase requisitions (PRs) based on material replenishment plans, ensuring timely procurement and optimal inventory levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- At least 2 years of experience in Foreign Trade Zone operations, logistics, or related field.
- Associate degree in business, economics, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of Excel.
- SAP Experience.
- Knowledge of Import and Export laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with customers and team members.
- Strong documentation skills in relation to Foreign Trade Zone and in maintaining compliance and conformity.
