Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in hunting and fishing, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Provide product information and assistance in locating hunting and fishing gear.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Cash Handling:
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure cash drawer accuracy and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed about the latest hunting and fishing products and trends.
- Assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Keep the cashier area and surrounding displays organized and well-stocked.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous cashier or retail experience REQUIRED
- Passion for hunting and fishing is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including days, weekends and holidays.
- 18 years and older
