Fintel Family Dentistry is a small, family-run dental office focused on providing excellent care to our patients from children to great grandparents. With eight full-time employees, our office is a family and we are looking to add another member! One of our long-time assistants retired so we are looking for a assistant effective immediately. Dr. Fintel is the sole dentist with two assistants. Experience is required as we are a fast-paced practice. We also value work-life balance and are open Monday-Thursday.

Responsibilities
Assist Dr. Fintel during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take dental X-rays and 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical coding for billing purposes.
Skills
Proficiency with EMR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic technique. Experience with X-ray imaging, including intraoral and panoramic radiography; familiarity with 3D scanners is a plus. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages while maintaining professionalism. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with medical imaging when necessary. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
