About the Position
Grandview Foundation, an SUD Treatment Facility, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment team. The LVN will provide nursing services to clients participating in withdrawal management (detoxification) services and collaborate closely with medical providers, counselors, and support staff to ensure safe and effective care.
Essential Responsibilities
- Monitor clients experiencing withdrawal from alcohol, opioids and other substances.
- Conduct nursing assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Utilize withdrawal assessment tools, including CIWA-Ar and COWS.
- Administer medications as prescribed and maintain Medication Administration Records (KIPU).
- Observe, document, and report changes in client condition.
- Assist with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services.
- Provide health education related to recovery, medications, wellness, and overdose prevention.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and case reviews.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and crisis situations.
- Ensure compliance with SAPC, DHCS, HIPAA, and agency standards.
Qualifications
- Current California LVN license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- One year of nursing experience preferred.
- Experience in detoxification, behavioral health, addiction treatment, or residential treatment preferred.
- Knowledge of withdrawal management protocols and medication administration.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SAPC or DHCS-licensed SUD programs.
- Familiarity with ASAM criteria and withdrawal management services.
- Experience with electronic health records.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
