Overview of Duties:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for performing the human resource functions of the company. Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and able to multi-task. In addition to this overview of job duties, other assignments or job duties may be required.
Specific and Essential Responsibilities:
Payroll Processor. All personnel changes input, timecards complete, all exempt pay base and calculated salesperson commissions entered, payroll processed and transmitted, payroll received, paychecks distributed, payroll reports filed.
401K administration. Accounts funded timely from each payroll. Annual employer match funded timely. Auto enroll / opt out documentation provided to new employees. Enroll new employees. Distribute 401K notices. Member of company 401K committee. Work with 401K providers and agent.
Company Health Benefits administration. Maintain all plans. Timely process all enrollments, changes, and/or removals. Compute Sec 125 payroll deduction amounts. Complete knowledge of all benefit plans. Work closely with insurance agent. Investigate any new plans for benefits to employees.
New hire / termination / employee review administration. Always in touch with managers about new hire needs. All paperwork timely distributed and completed. Secure pre-employment drug screen negative results before onboarding. New hires set up in HRIS. Track referral award and anniversary award dates for payroll input. Check in with all new employees at least once a month during their introductory period. Partner with managers during terminations, ensuring processed according to company policy and government regulation. Perform exit interviews. Ensure all formal annual performance reviews are completed in a timely manner and are thorough enough that they are a useful tool for employee and supervisor.
Employee facilitator. Always be available to hear employee concerns and mediate issues between staff members. Help managers resolve problems. Partner with managers to prepare and take part in any disciplinary actions with employees. Maintain written documentation for all performance discussions and disciplinary actions. Monitor suggestion boxes and report suggestions to Management team.
Recruiting and Training facilitator. Work with managers to help recruit new employees. Ensure new employees are provided the tools and training to do their jobs. Make sure managers are provided the tools and training to do their jobs.
Employment Law and Compliance administration. Update employee files and records so we will pass regulatory inspection. Help with Safety / OSHA administration company wide. Up-to-date on employment law issues. Be part of professional organizations like PASCO and SHRM; attend their meetings. Perform compensation analysis. Administrate DMV pull program.
Keep and update company documents such as: Job Descriptions, Employee Handbook, IIPP, Supervisor Manuals, and Organization chart. Be the keeper of the company culture-mission-values and make sure company is following these.
Work in a safety conscious manner at all times. Follow all safety regulations and security guidelines. Actively contribute to work safety and security.
Maintain a safe, clean and pleasant work environment.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:
1. Ability to sit for extended time periods at a desk.
2. Type 20 words per minute and use a mouse or other pointing device.
3. Ability to understand and communicate written and spoken information and ideas.

Pay: $73,000.00 - $94,000.00 per year
