American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a weekend-focused evening shift position requiring circulating experience with a wide variety of urgent/emergent cases including Ortho and Neuro.

Operating Room unit within a Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital

16-week assignment
-
Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 11:00 to 23:00
-
Weekend coverage required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) on a block schedule
-
1:1 patient ratio
-
No floating between units required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Uses Epic for charting (required, hardstop)
-
Circulates a wide variety of urgent and emergent cases, including Orthopedic and Neurological procedures
-
Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
-
Minimum 1 year of OR RN experience required
-
BLS certification required
-
CNOR certification preferred
-
Epic charting experience required
-
Level II Trauma experience preferred

Experience with gynecologic, general surgery, orthopedic, neurology, trauma, urology, and endoscopic procedures

Skills with equipment such as cell saver and electrosurgical units

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Circulate a wide variety of urgent and emergent surgical cases including orthopedic and neurological procedures
-
Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
-
Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
-
Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, whether as a permanent employee, travel contractor, or per-diem/registry staff, including location and dates

Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
-
Minimal RTO accommodations available; requests must be submitted upfront as post-offer RTO may not be granted

Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
