Overview
Join our team as a Class A Truck Driver and take the wheel of a versatile, fully-equipped tractor-trailer to deliver freight efficiently and safely across various routes. We are currently looking for a candidate for a regional position. Candidate will be home weekends and occasionally during the week depending on scheduling locations. The ideal candidate has experience with flatbed and end dumps. This position requires staying out multiple times per week. We try to get you home during the week as well if possible. Work location currently includes OH and surrounding states. Candidate must have at least 2 years of CDL driving experience, clean MVR, and be able to pass a drug test.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial trucks with manual transmissions, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of freight across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, compliance with regulations, and optimal performance.
- Follow planned routes diligently, managing schedules effectively while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with precision and control.
- Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment.
- Strong understanding of load securing techniques for freight of various types.
- Excellent route planning skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and timely deliveries.
- Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations related to commercial driving.
Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,200.00 per week
